The film is an intimate portrait of one of the participants of the famous demonstration against the occupation of Czechoslovakia on Red Square on August 25, 1968. The creators capture this indomitable fighter for freedom and human rights in his home in France, where the almost ninety-year-old Fajnberg tells his life story from his childhood in Kharkiv, Ukraine in the 1930s, through the rebellion against the Soviet regime to the struggle for the liberation of political prisoners, which he dedicated himself to in emigration.
