Svou chvíli

Composer and pianist Martin Brunner and singer Markéta Foukalová (Lanugo) will be joined by guitarist Tomáš Fuchs in a trio this time. Eight poems by Věra Koubová were originally set to music by pianist and composer Martin Brunner for singer Markéta Foukalová and the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. The chamber performance, however, makes the poems' original poetics stand out even more and the repertoire will be complemented by free improvisations by these great musicians and also brand new songs by singer Markéta Foukalová.

Martin Brunner's dreamy compositions and lyrics by poet and translator Věra Koubová from the album Svou Momentli will be released in June 2022 by Animal Music. For her performance, Markéta was nominated for the wider Anděl Awards in the category Female Performer of the Year.
