Diamond Dog's poetic dystopian punk vision begins in 2020, and becomes a reality with the full band in 2021.
The writing and interpretation of the songs draws its identity from the new wave origins from the very late 70's, but also from the more current sounds of the post-punk revival. The band resonates with rhythmic and danceable tracks, propelled into a vaporous setting of synthetic textures where chorus and reverb reign supreme.
The Dijon-based quartet, led by an intense and visceral lead vocal, express themselves on stage through an incandescent atmosphere imbued with the fury of the Cramps, the romantic melodies of Liszt, the poetry of Kipling and the cinema of Lynch.
Their debut album, Usual Chronicles, was released in March 2023 on EMB Blanc and Wave Records. The band has already played over 90 concerts, including a first European tour in October 2023 (France, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia). The band's name is an indirect reference to William S. Burroughs' « Garçons Sauvages », as the starting point for a sensitive, tormented artistic reflection teeming with links to pop culture.
