The first feature-length (and also the last) film by Pavel Juráček (1935–1989) was very loosely inspired by the third book of the fantasy-satirical novel Gulliver's Travels by the English classic Jonathan Swift (1667–1745). At the same time, however, it is a deeply personal work.
